Founded in 1988 after the legendary Swedish motorcycle marque Husqvarna was purchased by the Cagiva group, a group of engineers decided to stay in Sweden and start a new company, which they called Husaberg. The company produced a range of four-stroke and two-stroke enduro, motocross, and supermoto machines. The brand was later purchased by the KTM group, where it remained until the brand was killed off in 2014 after KTM purchased Husqvarna, deciding that the latter’s name was much more iconic than the short-lived Husaberg brand.
