Ducati Desmo450 MX In-Depth With Antonio Cairoli

Learn more about the Italian motocross bike that isn’t in production yet.

Ducati has made a splash in the professional dirt bike racing world with eight-time Italian Motocross champion and 2021 Motocross of Nations (MXoN) winner Alessandro Lupino campaigning its prototype motocross bike in the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship. Lupino also serves as a test rider for the machine, as does Antonio Cairoli.

Recently, the Bologna-based manufacturer brought Cairoli out of MXGP retirement to race test the Desmo450 MX at round 16 of the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship at Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden in Arnhem, Netherlands. While at the Dutch event, the nine-time series champ took some time to talk about his Desmo450 MX racebike and shed light upon the development of it. Watch the video above for that information and get a close-up look at Ducati’s exciting new dirt bike.
