Ducati has made the public aware of its intention to enter the dirt bike market. First, the Italian manufacturer declared it’s been working on a prototype motocross bike for two years, which will be raced in the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship by eight-time Italian Motocross champion and 2021 Motocross of Nations (MXoN) winner Alessandro Lupino. He and MXGP legend Antonio Cairoli will serve as test riders for it as well.

Now, Ducati has released a video of the two accomplished racers at the controls of its yet-to-be-released motocrosser, albeit more of a teaser as it doesn’t show the bike too closely or in much detail. Still, we can see it in action and hear what it sounds like in the video above before Ducati officially presents the team it has assembled to compete in the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship, which will take place at the Campioni in Pista event on January 21–23, 2024. Ducati’s motocross bike is slated to make its official racing debut in that series during the opening round at Circuito Internazionale Città di Mantova on March 16 and 17, 2024.
