2025 GasGas MC 450F Factory Edition Technical Overview

Features and specifications of GasGas’ MY25 special-edition flagship 450cc motocross bike.

GasGas’ MC 450F Factory Edition received some notable chassis updates last year such as a reworked frame and cutout engine mounts. For 2025, its revisions are mostly related to the fun Austrian brand’s AMA Supercross, Pro Motocross, and SuperMotocross (SMX) team management and sponsorship changes, and it’s now called Rockstar Energy GasGas Factory Racing instead of Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GasGas Factory Racing as it was from 2021–2024. In other words, it has some different aftermarket components similar to what Justin Barcia runs on his racebike in 2025. The 2025 iteration of GasGas’ special-edition 450cc motocross bike doesn’t feature a Hinson Racing Billetproof clutch cover like it did from 2022–2024. In its place is the same one found on the standard MC 450F. It’s worth noting that Rockstar Energy GasGas Factory Racing is sponsored by and runs Rekluse clutches, and that team organization change taking place a little later in the off-season might be why this production model doesn’t feature a Rekluse clutch cover to match the race team.Mark Kariya

Instead of the Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium muffler it had from 2022–2024, the fun Austrian brand’s special-edition flagship motocrosser is spec’d with an FMF Factory 4.1 RCT titanium slip-on muffler in 2025.Mark Kariya

Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) returns for its second year on the MC 250F and MC 450F Factory Editions. It’s available for the fun Austrian brand’s standard-model full-size motocross bikes as well through GasGas Technical Accessories.Mark Kariya

While the WP Xact AER 48mm fork and WP Xact shock on the MC 450F are set up on the soft side, the MC 450F Factory Edition’s are spec’d with a setting more suited for competition.Mark Kariya

A gold chain rotates sprockets that retain the same gearing as stock (13/51). Rear sprocket is anodized black unlike the standard MC 450F’s.Mark Kariya

Brembo brakes are fitted to the MC 450F Factory Edition instead of the Braktec units found on the regular MC 450F. Other differences between them are the former’s use of a floating front brake disc and carbon composite front brake disc guard.Mark Kariya
