2025 Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition Technical Overview

Features and specifications of Husqvarna’s MY25 special-edition 250cc four-stroke motocross bike.

After hitting the market in 2022, Husqvarna’s FC 250 Rockstar Edition disappeared from its lineup in 2023 and then reappeared last year. The 2024 model gave consumers a glimpse of what to expect on Husqvarna’s standard-model full-size motocross and cross-country bikes in 2025, which enjoyed a mid-generation update. The 2025 iteration sees a name change from “FC 250 Rockstar Edition” to “FC 250 Factory Edition” and the latest Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing graphics. Prior to publishing our first ride review of Husqvarna’s MY25 limited-edition 250cc four-stroke motocross bike, we’ve used this space to highlight some of what makes it special.

Following a year of chassis revisions that would serve as the mid-generation update for Husqvarna’s MY25 full-size motocrossers and cross-country racers, the FC 250 Rockstar Edition is mechanically unchanged for 2025.Mark Kariya
Peak figures from its fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine are 40.7 hp and 19.4 lb.-ft. of torque, as determined by the Dirt Rider dyno.Mark Kariya
A cosmetic-related engine difference between the FC 250 Factory Edition and standard-model FC 250 is the former sports a Rekluse clutch cover.Mark Kariya
Similar to the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing machine of RJ Hampshire, the FC 250 Rockstar Edition is equipped with an FMF Factory 4.1 RCT titanium muffler. Header pipe is stock, as in the same as what’s found on the FC 250.Mark Kariya
New on Husqvarna’s special-edition motocross bike duo last year, Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) returns for 2025. It’s a two-part system that pairs with the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles smartphone app to allow users to adjust engine-braking, launch control, and traction control (TC) settings, and quickshifter (QS) sensitivity. There’s also a rider feature that permits users to monitor what rpm range and gear they’re in on parts of the course, and how many shifts are done in a lap.Mark Kariya
Unlike Husqvarna’s standard-model full-size motocross bikes, which feature 10mm (0.4 inch) lower suspension, the FC 250 Factory Edition is equipped with a regular-height WP Xact AER 48mm fork and WP Xact shock.Mark Kariya
Triple clamps on the FC 250 are CNC-machined as well, but the FC 250 Factory Edition’s take it up a notch with a split design. These Factory Racing units can be purchased through Husqvarna Technical Accessories for $556.99.Mark Kariya
Instead of D.I.D DirtStar rims like its standard-model full-size motocross bikes, Husqvarna’s Factory Editions utilize Excel Takasago hoops.Mark Kariya
Gearing is identical to the FC 250 at 14/51, but the FC 250 Rockstar Edition boasts a gold chain.Mark Kariya
Covering the floating front brake disc is a carbon composite guard, both of which are specific to Husqvarna’s Factory Edition motocrossers.Mark Kariya
RJ Hampshire’s bike has a Guts Racing seat cover, so the production FC 250 Factory Edition does too.Mark Kariya
Another race team-inspired item is the handlebar pad, which is ProTaper instead of a Husqvarna-branded one like those on the non–Factory Edition models.Mark Kariya
New Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing graphics are the only visual difference on the 2025 Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition compared to last year’s model.Mark Kariya
With a Dirt Rider–measured wet weight of 240 pounds, the FC 250 Rockstar Edition is 5 pounds heavier than the standard FC 250 in 2025.Mark Kariya
