2025 Husqvarna TC 150 Technical Overview

Features and specifications of Husqvarna’s new-for-2025 144cc two-stroke motocross bike.

Husqvarna doesn’t hesitate to add new models to its vast lineup of dirt bikes. One such example of this in 2025 is the TC 150, which is the Austrian brand’s newest full-size premix-burning motocrosser. The TC 150 is powered by a fuel-injected liquid-cooled two-stroke single-cylinder engine with the same stroke as the TC 125 but has a 4mm-larger bore, increasing displacement from 125cc to 144cc.

After dynoing and weighing the TC 150 at our office, we took it to Fox Raceway to spin some laps and see how it performs in the dirt. Scroll down for some detailed photos and information about this small-bore ripper including commonalities with the TC 125 and the rest of Husqvarna’s full-size motocross bike lineup, and how it differs from them. Also, stay tuned for the first ride review.

The TC 150 is a new model in Husqvarna’s full-size motocross bike range in 2025.Jeff Allen
Its 144cc two-stroke engine is good for 36.2 hp and 17.1 lb.-ft. of torque on the Dirt Rider dyno.Jeff Allen
Throttle body injection (TBI) via a Keihin 39mm unit is a standout feature on the TC 150 and other two-strokes in Husqvarna’s full-size motocross and cross-country bike lineups.Jeff Allen
Pipe and silencer are same as what’s found on the TC 125.Jeff Allen
Like KTM’s full-size dirt bikes, Husqvarna’s equivalent models feature a two-piece aluminum/polyamide hybrid subframe, but the latter have a closed-off portion toward the rear that results in less airflow into the engine.Jeff Allen
No tools are required to access, remove, and reinstall the Twin Air air filter.Jeff Allen
Dual engine maps allow for lean (map 1, white light illuminated) and rich (map 2, green light illuminated) settings depending on track surface.Jeff Allen
Brembo is synonymous with high quality and durability, and the TC 150’s hydraulic clutch is no different. Lever pull is very light too.Jeff Allen
The WP Xact AER 48mm fork on the TC 150 may look identical to that of the KTM 150 SX’s, but the former’s tubes are 10mm shorter.Jeff Allen
Left fork leg is where air pressure is checked and set, while the right leg houses a compression damping adjuster on the cap and rebound damping clicker at the bottom of the lug.Jeff Allen
No need to bring out the owner’s manual or look it up online, Husqvarna applies a sticker on the right fork leg that specifies front suspension air pressure, compression damping, and rebound damping baseline settings.Jeff Allen
CNC-machined triple clamps hold fork legs at the standard height, which is the second line on the upper tubes.Jeff Allen
To match the front suspension’s 10mm-shorter spec, the WP Xact shock is lowered via linkage.Jeff Allen
Shock spring rate on Husqvarna’s two smallest-displacement full-size motocrossers (the TC 125 and TC 150) is 39 Nm.Jeff Allen
Cutout engine mounts are new on the FC and FX models for 2025, but the TC and TX machines have used head stays with cutouts since 2023.Jeff Allen
New for 2025, Husqvarna’s full-size TC and FC models are outfitted with Dunlop’s latest and greatest soft-to-intermediate-terrain motocross tires—the Geomax MX34.Jeff Allen
With 13/48 gearing, the TC 150’s rear sprocket is two teeth smaller than the TC 125’s.Jeff Allen
Another update for MY25 is the seat is slightly higher and wider.Jeff Allen
New model, new graphics.Jeff Allen
The TC 150 hits our automotive scales at 216 pounds wet, which is 1 pound less than the 125 SX.Jeff Allen
