2025 Husqvarna TC 250 Heritage Technical Overview

Features and specifications of Husqvarna’s quarter-liter two-stroke motocross bike for 2025.

Husqvarna’s standard-model full-size motocross bikes appeal to vet and shorter riders with its 10mm-lower suspension setup, and those who spent time aboard the brand’s dirt bikes in decades past have one more reason to buy them today with the Austrian concern’s Heritage trim. Available on select full-size motocross, cross-country, enduro, and dual sport models, the special livery is something to be appreciated with a throwback appearance that’s eye-catching to people of all ages.

Prior to testing the 2025 Husqvarna TC 250 Heritage, we pointed our cameras in its direction and examined what makes this retro-looking 250 two-stroke motocross model unique and the features shared by it and the TC 250 in regular appearance trim.

Husqvarna overhauled its entire full-size motocross bike lineup for 2025 and offers five select TC and FC models in the Heritage trim. One of them available in the retro livery is the TC 250.Jeff Allen
According to the Austrian brand, its TC 250 engine weighs 53 pounds.Jeff Allen
On the Dirt Rider dyno, Husqvarna’s fuel-injected liquid-cooled two-stroke 249cc single-cylinder engine sends 43.0 hp and 29.6 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheel.Jeff Allen
Equipped with throttle body injection (TBI) since 2023, the TC 250 engine is fed by a Keihin 39mm throttle body.Jeff Allen
An electronic power valve is another technologically advanced two-stroke engine feature found on Husqvarna’s quartet of full-size premix-burning motocrossers.Jeff Allen
The stock pipe and silencer on the TC 250 work, sound, and look good. Heritage motocross and cross-country model owners in the market for an aftermarket exhaust system should take note that Husqvarna offers accessory FMF Racing LE Metal Works exhaust systems for them. On the TC and TX models, it consists of a Factory Fatty pipe and Titanium PowerCore 2.1 silencer.Jeff Allen
Choose your preferred power delivery with this dual engine map switch. Map 1 (white light illuminated) is mellow and map 2 (green light illuminated) is aggressive.Jeff Allen
Brembo’s hydraulic clutch helps riders modulate the quarter-liter two-stroke power.Jeff Allen
Radiator cap was changed to this plastic design in 2023.Jeff Allen
Front suspension on the TC 250 and TC 250 Heritage is a WP Xact AER 48mm fork that’s 10mm shorter than the one found on KTM’s and GasGas’ respective full-size motocross models.Jeff Allen
Standard fork height is second line on the upper tubes, and legs are held in CNC-machined triple clamps.Jeff Allen
The WP Xact shock’s compression damping adjusters are well concealed behind the rear of the right radiator shroud, yet both can be turned by hand without removing it.Jeff Allen
To smooth rear suspension performance and decrease weight, Husqvarna went with new linkage seals and bolt on its MY25 full-size motocrossers.Jeff Allen
The TC 250 and TC 250 Heritage are spec’d with the same shock spring rate as the FC 350 and FC 450, which is 45 Nm.Jeff Allen
Cutout engine mounts aren’t new on the TC and TX models in 2025, but the same can’t be said of the FC and FX machines.Jeff Allen
Swingarm stickers with model name is a nice touch that helps cosmetically differentiate the TC 250 Heritage from the TC 250.Jeff Allen
D.I.D DirtStar rims are laced to CNC-machined hubs via silver spokes, and Dunlop Geomax MX34 tires are relied on for traction.Jeff Allen
Husqvarna’s 250 two-stroke motocross bike leaves the factory with 14/49 gearing.Jeff Allen
Brakes are supplied by the same company that provides the hydraulic clutch—Brembo.Jeff Allen
A white frame, blue radiator shrouds, blue gripper seat cover, and retro graphics really make the Heritage models stand out in a good way.Jeff Allen
Instead of a Husqvarna-branded handlebar pad, the Heritage models are outfitted with one from ProTaper, which supplies the handlebar too.Jeff Allen
Behind the blue radiator shrouds with graphics that take design inspiration from the brand’s Swedish heritage is a 1.9-gallon fuel tank that calls for 60:1 premix.Jeff Allen
According to our automotive scales, the TC 250 Heritage weighs 232 pounds wet, which means it’s 7 pounds lighter than the FC 450.Jeff Allen
