Kawasaki reintroduced its KLR650 in 2022 after discontinuing it for the 2019 model year, and brought it back with new-age technology such as fuel injection. Many other updates were made to its liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 652cc single-cylinder engine, and some notable chassis changes included a new rear frame, 30mm-longer swingarm, and 2mm-larger-diameter swingarm pivot shaft.
Since its return to Kawasaki’s lineup in 2022, the KLR650 and its alternative trims have only enjoyed color changes, and that’s the case for 2025.Kawasaki
This iconic large-displacement dual sport motorcycle from Japan hasn’t been mechanically updated since 2022, and that rings true for 2025 as two new colors are the only difference from the year prior. Pearl Crystal White/Metallic Carbon Gray remains for the KLR650 and KLR650 S, while Firecracker Red/Metallic Carbon Gray goes away in favor of Metallic Matte Old School Green. On the KLR650 Adventure ABS, Metallic Matte Twilight Blue is still an option, but the same can’t be said of Pearl Matte Sage Green, which has been replaced by Cypher Camo Beige/Metallic Matte Carbon Gray.
As its name suggests, the KLR650 Adventure ABS is designed for adventurers who want increased carrying capacity and convenience via several Kawasaki Genuine Accessories.Kawasaki
