KTM continues to offer two electric youth motocross bikes in 2024 with its SX-E 3 and SX-E 5. No changes have been made to the mini electric off-road motorcycles, so they’re still powered by an air-cooled 48-volt BLDC motor, have a double-cradle chromoly steel frame, and slow via 160mm discs on both wheels. Battery capacity differs between the two with the SX-E 3′s at 648Wh and the SX-E 5′s at 907Wh.
Being lower to the ground, the SX-E 3 also has less suspension travel with 5.7 inches front and 5.2 inches rear, while the SX-E 5 offers 8.1 and 7.3 inches, respectively. The SX-E 5 also has a larger 12-inch front wheel, and both models are spec’d with Maxxis MX-ST tires. According to KTM, the SX-E 3 weighs 86 pounds and the SX-E 5 hits the scales at 90 pounds.
