Four years after bringing the Formula helmet to market, Fly Racing has released a new version of its top-of-the-line dirt bike helmet called the Formula S. Like the Formula, it features an Adaptive Impact System (AIS), Rheon Energy Cells, Conehead technology, a dual-density EPS liner, and 12K carbon fiber shell.
However, there’s no shortage of new technology built into the Formula S beginning with the Quin device, which specializes in crash detection for motorcyclists and helps riders get assistance in the case of an emergency. Some of the other main new features include Automatic Crash Detection, an SOS Beacon button, emergency alerts, and the option for a direct link to 911 emergency services supported by a five-diamond level monitoring center.
The Formula S is currently available in two graphics—standard and Legacy, with the latter being offered in four colors. Suggested retail price is $799.95 and it’s expected to be available on August 1, 2023. For more information about the Formula S helmet, head on over to flyracing.com.
