This week we have new seat foam and a new cover for our 2015 Husqvarna FE 350 S from Guts Racing. As we have made it abundantly clear, the 2015 Huskies are all lacking in seat comfort and grip, and since the 350 S is a street legal model, we wanted (more like desperately needed) a softer seat for longer rides.
Guts offers many different styles of covers and foam densities and we went with their softest offering. Swapping out seat foam isn’t that hard, it just takes patience and some trial and error to get the new cover on the seat. The foam shape is pretty much identical to the stock foam and went on the seat base without issue. The seat cover went on without much of a fuss either, but there was quite a bit of extra material that we had to trim once all of the staples were in. All put together, the seat is way squishier than the stock foam and the cover definitely has more grip.
So far, installation is as far as we have got with these two products but we are taking the FE 350 S to the Colorado 600 trail ride so there will be plenty of time on the seat soon and a full test in an upcoming issue of Dirt Rider.
