For the second consecutive year, the final three rounds of the SuperMotocross (SMX) World Championship serve as the playoffs after the AMA Supercross series and AMA Pro Motocross Championship conclude. These SMX playoff races are held at dragstrips and speedway facilities to accommodate the hybrid track designs that combine supercross- and motocross-style obstacles onto a single course.
Track layouts have been unveiled for the trio of SMX races scheduled for this September including playoff 1 at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, playoff 2 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, and the final at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.
