Following in the footsteps of sister brands KTM and Husqvarna, GasGas will now offer an up-spec version of its flagship 450 motocross bike. Aptly named the MC 450F Troy Lee Designs, the bike mimics the look of Justin Barcia’s Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GasGas Factory Racing motorcycle that he competes on every Saturday in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
GasGas’ first-ever limited-edition 450 motocrosser isn’t just about appearance though, as there are plenty of performance-oriented parts from the Austrian brands’ Technical Accessories catalog sprinkled on it as well. An Akrapovič slip-on muffler is said to provide more torque, while firmer suspension settings are intended to improve handling. The WP Xact 48mm air fork is held in place by red anodized Factory Racing triple clamps.

Black Factory wheels are shod with Dunlop Geomax MX33 tires. Up front is a semi-floating rotor to enhance braking performance, which is shielded by a disc guard. Other protection items are a composite skid plate and red frame protection kit. Rider contact points differ from the standard model with a Troy Lee Designs Factory Racing seat cover and softer ODI lock-on grips. Racers who start on dirt (as opposed to concrete) when they line up on the gate will appreciate the included Factory holeshot device.
Additional cosmetic items that make the MC 450F Troy Lee Designs stand out include a Hinson Racing Billetproof clutch cover, black rear sprocket, gold chain, black Neken handlebar, larger GasGas bar pad, replica Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GasGas Factory Racing graphics from the 2021 season, and a set of No. 51 decals for those looking to emulate Justin Barcia’s bike that much more. The MC 450F Troy Lee Designs is available now at GasGas dealerships across the United States for a suggested retail price of $11,699.
