How Much Power Does the 2024 GasGas EX 250F Make?

Dyno testing GasGas’ 250F cross-country racer for horsepower and torque.

Having been introduced in 2021, GasGasEX 250F is one of the newer quarter-liter four-stroke cross-country motorcycles on the market, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the best. Many riders and racers judge 250F dirt bikes heavily on engine, and the EX 250F’s is one of its greatest attributes. The fun Austrian brand’s off-road competition-focused fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder mill produces impressive figures at high rpm—41.9 hp and 20.0 lb.-ft. of torque on our in-house Dynojet 250i rear-wheel dynamometer, to be exact.

“The EX 250F’s power delivery is similar to the MC 250F’s, but a little smoother,” test rider Allan Brown said. “It doesn’t have a hard hit or spike but more of a longer, linear power. And it still revs out plenty far in the rpm range as one would expect of an Austrian-built engine. This goes well with its wide-ratio six-speed transmission, making gaps between gears less noticeable.”
