2024 GasGas MC 250F Factory Edition Dyno Test

Dynoing GasGas’ special-edition 250F motocrosser for horsepower and torque.

Having been unveiled for the first time in 2023, GasGas’ MC 250F Factory Edition is one of the newest 250cc four-stroke motocross bikes on the market—special edition or otherwise. The fun Austrian brand made this machine much different than the standard MC 250F last year and updated it even further in 2024 with calculated frame revisions, suspension tweaks, and more.

Engine-wise on the 2024 models, the only differences between the MC 250F Factory Edition and regular MC 250F are the former uses a one-piece air intake sleeve and snorkel, and features an Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium muffler. In terms of peak numbers, the MC 250F Factory Edition cranks out 40.2 hp and 19.5 lb.-ft. of torque at the rear wheel, as measured by our in-house Dynojet 250i dynamometer.

“While the majority of Japanese-built 250Fs begin to sign off high in the rpm range, the MC 250F Factory Edition keeps on pulling,” test rider Cody Johnston said. “Its power delivery is linear, which is complemented by the Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium muffler.”
