How Much Power Does the 2025 Honda CRF250RX Make?

Dyno testing Honda’s 250F cross-country motorcycle for horsepower and torque.

Honda’s CRF250RX has been a staple in its cross-country motorcycle lineup since 2019, and has enjoyed success at the professional racing level—a couple of recent examples being Kade Walker’s 2023 AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) Pro II title and Mikayla Nielsen’s 2024 NGPC Pro Women crown.

At the consumer and editorial level, the CRF250RX is a favorite for its light and nimble chassis, easy-to-use smooth power, and great ergonomics. This helps make it well-rounded in a variety of conditions including East Coast off-road terrain, as test rider Allan Brown proved by piloting the 2023 version of Big Red’s 250F cross-country model at an AMA National Enduro, where he praised it for being flawless the entire time in the tight single-track trails.

We recently took possession of the 2025 version, which sees updates similar to Honda’s CRF250R motocross bike. After becoming acquainted with the updated CRF250RX at MotoVentures, we placed it on our in-house dyno, where it churned out 37.7 hp and 18.0 lb.-ft. of torque at the rear wheel—an increase of 0.6 hp and 0.2 lb.-ft. of torque over the 2023 model.
