How Much Power Does the 2024 Husqvarna FC 250 Make?

Dyno testing Husqvarna’s 250F motocross bike for horsepower and torque.

Husqvarna’s FC 250 has gained a reputation for being one of the most powerful 250cc four-stroke motocross bikes on the dyno, and that narrative continues in 2024.

Its fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine cranks out peak figures of 42.9 hp and 20.2 lb.-ft. of torque—the most in class. The Austrian machine also bests its competitors from 7,000 rpm to 7,750 rpm and 8,500 rpm to 11,500 rpm. As an added bonus, all that power is very controllable thanks to its linear delivery.”The FC 250 really has a strong engine package that doesn’t make it difficult to ride,” test rider Michael Wicker said. “Personally, I would love to see more low-end grunt, but nevertheless, engine performance from the FC 250 is still really good.
