2024 Husqvarna FC 250 Rockstar Edition Dyno Test

Dynoing Husky’s special-edition 250F motocrosser for horsepower and torque.

Unveiled for the first time in 2022, the FC 250 Rockstar Edition is in its second year on the market in 2024 after having been absent from Husqvarna’s lineup in 2023. The return of the Austrian brand’s special-edition 250cc four-stroke motocross bike brings numerous chassis and suspension updates, but not as many engine-related differences.

Unlike its standard-model counterpart, the 2024 Husqvarna FC 250 Rockstar Edition is equipped with a one-piece air intake sleeve and snorkel, and an FMF Factory 4.1 RCT slip-on titanium muffler. After mounting a drum-roller-friendly Dunlop D404 street tire on its rear wheel, we ran the FC 250 Rockstar Edition on our in-house Dynojet 250i dynamometer, where it spun 40.6 hp and 19.5 lb.-ft. of torque.

“The FC 250 Rockstar Edition’s power is delivered in a linear manner,” test rider Tanner Basso said. “Rolling on very nicely off the bottom, it transitions smoothly through the midrange all the way to the rev limiter, making it very easy and fun to ride for any level of rider. The sweet spot is from midrange to top-end, as keeping rpm up really helps you carry momentum and stay right in the meat of the power.”
