Husqvarna’s FC 450 shares the same fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc single-cylinder engine as KTM’s 450 SX-F, but is mellower due to its closed-off airbox. That applies both on the track and dyno because while the orange machine produces the most peak horsepower and torque of all the standard-model 450cc motocross bikes in 2024, the Husqvarna ranks second and fourth, respectively, with 55.6 hp and 33.9 lb.-ft. of torque.
“The FC 450′s power is very controllable,” test rider Michael Wicker said. “Similar to the KTM, its real potential is found toward the top-end. And although it could have more low-end grunt for my style, this helps make the bike easy to ride.”
