Being that it shares the same fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc single-cylinder engine as KTM’s 450 SX-F, the Husqvarna FC 450 is blessed with one of the strongest powerplants in its class. The mill itself is unchanged for 2025, but worth noting is its air inlet sleeve and snorkel are now a one-piece part to prevent deformation.
With a drum-roller-friendly Dunlop D404 street tire mounted on its rear wheel, Husqvarna’s standard-model flagship motocrosser produced 53.0 hp and 32.7 lb.-ft. of torque on our in-house Dynojet 250i dynamometer. Unsurprisingly, those figures are very close to the 450 SX-F’s—just 0.2 hp and 0.2 lb.-ft. of torque less than the orange model. That may have something to do with Husqvarna’s slightly different airbox design. Regardless, both Austrian machines boast one of the best mills in the 450cc motocross bike segment.
