Dirt Rider’s in-house Dynojet 250i dynamometer has proven time and time again that 350cc four-stroke motocross and cross-country models from KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas crank out peak horsepower numbers that aren’t far off that of standard-model and special-edition 450cc motocross and cross-country machines, and the latest to do so is the 2025 Husqvarna FX 350.
Its fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 350cc single-cylinder engine sends 51.0 hp and 27.0 lb.-ft. of torque to its 18-inch rear wheel, which is just 2.0 hp less than the 2025 Husqvarna FC 450. Peak torque is a larger difference at 5.7 lb.-ft. less, but that’s still a very impressive figure, especially considering its 100cc deficit to those with 450cc to work with.
“The FX 350 exists because people want the torque of a 450 with the rideability of a 250F, and its engine is closer to a mellow 450 over a super-powerful 250F,” test rider Allan Brown said.
