How Much Power Does the 2025 KTM 450 SX-F Make?

Dyno testing KTM’s 450cc four-stroke motocrosser for horsepower and torque.

The KTM 450 SX-F is known as one of the most powerful yet controllable 450cc motocross bikes around, and that trend continues in 2025. Before shaking it down for a first ride at Fox Raceway, we strapped the Ready to Race brand’s standard-model flagship motocrosser to our in-house Dynojet 250i dynamometer, where its fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc single-cylinder engine sent 53.2 hp and 32.9 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheel.

“KTM has one of my favorite engine packages on the market,” test rider Tanner Basso said. “It has so much power, but it is extremely rideable! With how smooth the delivery is, it makes rolling out of corners easy.”
