KTM took home the award for the Best Adventure Bike during the Motorcyclist Magazine "Motorcycle and Motorcyclist of the Year" (MOTY) awards show held at the beautiful Highlands Inn, Park Hyatt Carmel in Monterey, CA during this past Laguna Seca weekend.Mitch Boehm, Editor in Chief of Motorcyclist Magazine, and emcee of the MOTY awards gave a spectacular introduction to the 950 Adventure saying that it was, "One of the most fun bikes we have ever ridden. Whether you were on paved roads, or dirt, this beast handled everything. Everyone always came back with a huge grin on their face after they had been on the KTM Adventure."Scot Harden accepted the award on behalf of KTM, and told the audience members of the different characteristics of the 950 Adventure. He told of the thousand's of miles that had been ridden on highways and back roads that the 950 had overcome, the lunacy of jumping the motorcycle 70 feet into the air at this year's past Mammoth Mountain motocross race, and the overall satisfaction of all who own a KTM 950 Adventure. He also said "that the workforce in the small village of Mattighoffen would be extremely privileged to receive this hard-earned award."
