KTM Hard Parts Radiator Guards - Dirt Rider Magazine

If you have a KTM (or a new Husaberg) and are going to crash, you should get these radiator guards. Is that plain and simple enough? Since I've been running them on our Long Haul Husaberg I've seen firsthand how good they protect radiators. They are a sound investment for a couple of reasons.First, they will stop damage that will end your ride. These things were on every factory KTM at Romaniacs-that should tell you how good they are at getting bikes to the finish line-as everyone there crashes a lot! Second, they will save you from having to buy a radiator or two in the future, and those are not cheap. The tubular bars bolt right on in most cases and come with all hardware. In my case (on the Husaberg) I had to remove a little metal for clearance of the throttle cables. They provide a protective ring around the outside perimeter of the radiator and allow the use of the stock grille to optimize the cooling airflow. There is a longer bolt used through the shroud, but other than that you cannot tell the guards are on the bike. They also might interfere with larger tanks, so check the clearance where the guard sits in reference to your tank.At $106.99 they are better than cheap insurance; they are something you put on and forget about until you get to keep riding after your bike took a good thump to the radiator (guard). -Jimmy Lewis
