Last year, Suzuki began offering a promotion to help recruit more riders onto its motocross bikes with an RM Army Edition kit—the performance-focused item being a Pro Circuit T-6 exhaust system. That trend continues in 2025, and the stainless steel header pipe and titanium muffler with carbon fiber end-cap helps squeeze every last bit of power out of Suzuki’s fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 249cc single-cylinder engine.
Strapped to our in-house dyno, the 2025 iteration of Suzuki’s RM-Z250 RM Army Edition churns out 36.0 hp and 18.2 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s the least amount of maximum horsepower in the class, while peak torque is slightly more than Honda’s CRF250R and Yamaha’s YZ250F.
“Overall power of the RM-Z250 RM Army Edition is very manageable and a lot tamer than class leaders, which makes it a good choice for entry-level and novice riders,” test rider Michael Wicker said. “Still, Suzuki’s 250F motocross bike has enough go for the majority of buyers.”
