VIDEO: 2016 450 MX Shootout Overview

Chris Denison and Kris Keefer give you a quick overall recap of how the 450 motocross bikes performed in our 2016 MX Shootout.

Taking place in late 2015, the 2016 450 Motocross Shootout was, as expected, one of the closest and most exciting comparison tests that Dirt Rider has executed in recent years. 2016 proved to be a “minor update” year for a couple brands, as the Yamaha and Honda received just a few key refinements. Kawasaki, KTM, and Husqvarna introduced pretty much a whole new machines from the ground up, while only Suzuki decided to rely on the changes they made in 2015 to get them through 2016.

The air fork is still in full force on three out of the seven bikes in the shootout, but it looks as if KTM will be making the change soon as their European model ‘16 SX-Fs come equipped with WP AER fork technology. We also decided to bring back the odd man out; the KTM 350 SX-F came out to play in the shootout this year. After several weeks of testing at various tracks with all the machines, we were able to complete the massive print story that is the conclusion of the 2016 450 MX Shootout. In this video, DR Editors Chris Denison and Kris Keefer give you a quick overall recap of how these bikes performed.
